Position Summary:
The Social Media and Public Relations Intern supports CLCL’s communications strategy by creating content, managing platforms, and amplifying the organization’s mission across multiple channels. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, event promotion, and public relations writing, while contributing to CLCL’s trauma-informed commitment to fostering safe, inclusive, and resilient community spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and schedule posts across CLCL social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube).
- Promote events such as Free Family Fun Nights and community drives.
- Assist with photography, videography, and media storytelling at events.
- Draft PR materials, press releases, and announcements.
- Maintain analytics reports to track social engagement and growth.
- Develop graphics, flyers, and promotional materials for events and fundraisers.
- Collaborate with the Outreach Intern to highlight partnerships and sponsors.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
- Basic graphic design (Canva, Adobe Express preferred).
- Strong writing and editing abilities.
- Creativity and storytelling ability.
Internship Details:
- Commitment: 10–15 hours per week (flexible scheduling, occasional evenings/weekends for events).
- Duration: Semester-based or summer placement (with potential extension).
