Throughout her career, Melina has been devoted to serving children and families, particularly in communities with limited resources where essential programs are crucial. As a School Administrator, she has witnessed firsthand the challenges that families face, from food insecurity to limited access to vital services. She has been instrumental in finding solutions by leveraging state and federal programs, collaborating with McKinney-Vento liaisons, and partnering with State Agencies to ensure children and families receive the support they need.
Melina has coordinated numerous philanthropic events, including food and toy drives, for families in need. She also serves as a board member and volunteer for her local Parent-Teacher Association and is actively involved in the New Jersey Schools Business Association. In addition, she serves as a Trustee for her local Joint Insurance Fund. Melina is deeply passionate about supporting homeless youth and families, ensuring they are prepared for success in both their personal and professional lives.
