Business and Marketing Intern

Position Detail

Position Summary:

The Business and Marketing Intern supports CLCL’s organizational strategy by assisting with event marketing, sponsorship development, and community outreach. This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit business development, data-driven marketing, and partnership-building, while contributing to CLCL’s trauma-informed mission to foster safe and inclusive community spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with marketing campaigns for events and fundraising initiatives.
  • Conduct market research on community engagement and donor trends.
  • Support sponsorship outreach in collaboration with the Outreach Intern.
  • Draft and refine business proposals, partnership letters, and sponsorship material.
  • Track marketing metrics and prepare reports for leadership review.
  • Help develop strategies to increase community participation and donor engagement.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of basic marketing principles.
  • Comfort with data tracking and reporting tools (Google Sheets, Excel, Canva Analytics).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, task-oriented, and professional demeanor.

Internship Details:

  • Commitment: 10–15 hours per week (flexible scheduling, occasional evenings/weekends for events).
  • Duration: Semester-based or summer placement (with potential extension).
  • Compensation: Unpaid; course credit or professional development opportunities available.
